Men aren't allowed to be unhappy

At least that's the message I got when the Truu dad confessions site was shut down and archived.

There's an existing site called Truu confessions. Most of it is still up, but it's only women. They had a part of the site for men called Truu Dad confessions, but it was shut down "in favor of women's interests," according to it's founder.

This site was a place for people to confess something about their lives. It can be happy or unhappy.

Now, the women on the site would have a ton of confessions saying how unhappy they are in their relationships and in parenthood. It ranged in everything from hating being a mother to wanting an affair.

The men's section on the site had the exact same sort of confessions, but it was still shut down because they were "scoundrels."



That, to me, says only women are allowed to admit they're unhappy in marriage and/or parenthood and any man who dares admit he's unhappy is an asshole who needs to suck it up.

Call me a conspiracist, but I think those women who were upset with their husbands/boyfriends who wrote the confessions wanted it shut down so men wouldn't wise up and see what can happen. That way, there would be men for women who aspire to be mothers and wives (by dishonest and illogical means) to trap.
